OneManBand is a powerful software that turns any (piano, synthesizer) keyboard into an arranger keyboard with real time chord recognition. It can also create complete MIDI arrangements with simple drag and drop operations and it will allow you to utilise, modify and create styles in Yamaha format.
One Man Band is a combination of a virtual arranger keyboard, a style based sequencer/arranger and a style editor, that utilises the standard style files compatible with the styles used in Yamaha PSR, DGX and Tyros arranger keyboards. It can play the thousands of Yamaha styles that are available on internet and it can create styles that can be played on a Yamaha keyboard. The professional performing artists may use OneManBand to build a high quality arranger setup with features that are not available in the best arranger keyboards. Connect a master keyboard with 88 keys, plug-in DXi and VSTi softsynths with incredible real sounding instruments and have the presets of up to 3600 songs at your fingertips including text with chords and lyrics or even a scrolling display of the score. When a new style is loaded the current style will continue to play until the load is complete and then switches without a glitch. The song presets may also include a wave/mp3 intro or play a multimedia file as backing track instead of a style. Karaoke files will be displayed with scrolling tekst in large font. An editor to create Karaoke files is included. A large number of chord recognition methods is available, also for MIDI guitars, MIDI accordions and MIDI Pedals. In full keyboard mode you can play the entire keyboard and use a footswitch for chordfixation to indicate when chords should be recognised from the keyboard for the auto-accompaniment and when not.Studio musicians use OneManBand as a preproduction tool. In the arranger and song window they can quickly try ideas with a lot of different styles, variations and chord sequences. OneManBand is both DXi and VSTi host and supports ASIO drivers. A complete sequencer to operate on any MIDI file is included too. All detailed event editing is done in easy eventslists and pianorolls. The result can be saved in a MIDI-file for further operations elsewhere.Home musicians use OneManBand to upgrade their arranger keyboards or to provide their digital piano or synthesizer with real-time auto-accompaniment. Load styles directly from the hard drive of your PC. Use the style maker to "tweak" styles and make them sound better. Make a style from a MIDI file. Make a collection of exported style tracks and use them in uniquely blended styles.Absolute beginners use the "PC Keyboard 1" user-interface in OneManBand to play melody and chords live without a MIDI keyboard controller. Play "quatre mains": one plays the auto-accompaniment chords and variation changes with the mouse and the other one plays the melody on the PC keyboard.Features:==>Compatibillity-Windows 98/2000/NT/Me/XG/Vista (does not work with Chinese, Japanese and Korean laguage)-Plays all Yamaha styles (live and sequenced)-Automatic XG to GM conversion (in GM mode)-Reads and writes MIDI files, including XF chords.-Plays and creates Karaoke files-Hosts DXi and VSTi soft synths with support for ASIO drivers.-Supports Cakewalk .INS files for browsing instrumentbanks-Synchronises with other arrangers and sequencers thru MIDI clocks, both as master (sending clocks) and as slave (receiving clocks)==>Playing Live-Store all the presets to play a particular song (style, tempo, multivoice, etc.) and reactivate them with a single key stroke.-Accompaniment continues to play while a new style is loaded (switch without a glitch).-Full fingered chord recognition for 34 chord types.-Single finger chord recognition for major, minor and 7th chords.-Chord recognition for slash chords e.g C/E.-Free Form chord recognition allows for any keycombination, independant from existing chords.-Control the tempo with a modulation wheel or volume pedal.-Full keyboard chord recognition with chord fixation pedal.-Play bass runs in the chord section.-Play chords with a set of MIDI pedals, a MIDI guitar or a MIDI accordion.-Supports vocal harmonizers.-2 automatic harmonies for melody voices (close harmony and wide harmony). -Up to 4 instruments can be mixed for melody voices.-Enter commands for variation, tempo and volume changes, loading styles etc. using a MIDI keyboard controller.-On-screen display of the special functions of the MIDI keyboard controller.
